About the Experience
Cambridge Museum is a small but lovingly curated collection of items that embody Cambridge’s rich history. See collections of archaeology, buildings, photos, poems, newspapers and all kinds of memorabilia.
Lake Te Koutu is located in Cambridge Domain, close to the Cambridge town centre. It features a flat, 1 km walking loop with views of the lake and many species of trees planted by the local Trees Trus, including a Cedar of Lebanon, kauris, chestnuts, oaks, planes and a grove of camellias. There is also a barbeque facility and an exercise area for dogs.

Distance from nearest town centre: The museum is 500m from the town centre. The lake is 1.5km from the Museum (20-30 minute walk).

Weekdays 10 am – 4 pm
Weekends and public holidays 10 am – 2 pm
Parking: Free on-street 2-hour carparks outside the museum. There is also free public parking off Albert Street near the Lake.
Accessibility: Flat path and a few steps up to the doorway of the Museum. The museum is an easy walk from the centre of town. The walking loop path around the lake is gravel but flat enough for wheelchairs. Pathways leading out of the domain slope uphill.
